8 years ago, Upstart Co-Lab partnered with the Local Initiative Support Corporation to develop and launch the NYC Inclusive Creative Economy Fund, the first targeted impact investment opportunity benefiting creatives in New York City.
The Fund attracted strong investor interest — demonstrating that art-loving impact investors want opportunities to make money and do good.
The Fund supported projects that create jobs, activate underutilized space, and contribute to long-term economic growth across the city — demonstrating that all impact investors can achieve their impact goals investing in creative industries, including fashion, film, video games, food, beauty, the creator economy and more.
And, now, the Fund has paid its investors back — demonstrating impact investors can meet their financial goals investing in creativity and culture.
