We have been busy since launching Upstart Co-Lab in April. At Bennington College, we taught a class on Bringing Creativity to Sustainable Companies. We visited Arizona State University to plan hackathons that will connect artists with sustainability scientists, policymakers and impact investors to address the challenges of a sustainable future.  Working with our strategic partners the Actors Fund, Artspace, B Lab, the Calvert Foundation, Oberlin College, and Veris Wealth Partners we have made great progress on our portfolio of five projects. Stay tuned for announcements in the coming months.

A hearty thank you to David Bank and Brian Walsh of ImpactAlpha. David recently interviewed our founding partner Laura Callanan about bringing creativity to impact investing. Their wide-ranging conversation covered what it will take to make creativity truly investable, how leaders trained in the arts are innovating in the field of impact investing, and artists who are social entrepreneurs.
