Bill McCalpin | Senior Advisor
Bill McCalpin has been involved with the field of impact investing for over 30 years. He has held leadership positions with two asset owners that invest endowment capital for financial and philanthropic return (the MacArthur Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund). He was chief executive officer of Imprint Capital, a registered investment adviser that provided impact investing advisory services to individual and institutional clients before its sale to Goldman Sachs. He led the impact investing advisory practice at Athena Capital, another registered investment adviser serving individual and institutional clients. Bill is now co-owner and CEO of muun chi, an early-stage Los Angeles-based company that produces and sells organic, plant-based foods with functional health benefits, with a particular focus on the importance of the gut microbiome. Bill enjoys encouraging and nurturing talent for the impact investing field. He has taught impact investing courses at Williams College and, informally, mentors exceptional young people committed to careers in the impact investing ecosystem.
