Creativity – Mindset Definition
Many definitions of creativity refer to it as a mindset, problem-solving process, individual talent, or group dynamic. A Creative Mindset is present across industries regardless of their connection to art, culture, design, and innovation.
Bruce Nussbaum identified five core competencies of individual and organizational creativity in his book Creative Intelligence1: Knowledge Mining, Framing, Playing, Making, and Pivoting.
A report commissioned by Adobe in 2014 found that self-identifying creative companies “outperform peers and competitors on key business performance indicators, including revenue growth, market share, and talent acquisition,”2 and lists of creative people3 and innovative companies4 remain popular news items.
